The Tbilisi Orthodox Theological Seminary. The main facade.
Deginning of 1900s.
The seminary as such was founded in 1817. The present building, a noteworthy example of late
classicism in Tbilisi, was erected at the end of 1830s. Architect Bernardazzi. Originally it
was owned io Iakob Zubalachvili, a Georgian sugar manufacturer. At present the Tbilisi Fine
Art Museum is located here (Goudiashvili Street). The building retains original appearance.
