Golovin Avenue. The Hotel "Orient". 1909.



After reconstruction on April 27,1895 according to the press reports "the largest and the best hotel Orient" in the capital threw its doors open to public. Reconstruction work was supervised by A.F. Zaltsman (1833-97), an architect from Tbilisi. A wing from the direction of St. George Street was added at the beginning of the 1905. After the Revolution it became the lntourist Hotel. At present it is the Georgian Painters' House (7, Rustaveli Ave.).
