How to establish standard Georgian fonts in your Compiter as
User Defined?

It's very easy..

 

At first, install Georgian standard fonts on your computer

(If you can't install you ownTTF fonts on your computer, copy free program geowin98.exe  and start it. She can automatically install 4 georgian standard fonts on your computer. You can also copy 1 free (unzipped) font from our server and install it you own)

after installing ...

1. Enter in "tools"/ "internet option" on your Internet Exlorer 5.0 browser;

2. Find (in the bottom line) "Fonts...";

3. Press on "Fonts";

4. The window will appear, where three small windows;

  • "Language script "

  • "Web Page Font"

  • "Plain Text Font"

will be visible...

5.  In a window, near to "Language script"   find and put "User Defined";

6. In a window, near to "Web Page Font" find and put  "Geo_literaturuli";

7. In a window, near to "Plain Text Font" find and put "Courier New";

8. In result, opposite (on the contrary)

  • on the contrary "Language Script" it will be visible "User Defined";

  • on the contrary "Web Page Font" it will be visible "Geo_Literaturuli";

  • on the contrary "PLain Text Font" it will be visible "Courier New";

9. Press OK;

10. Congretulations! You establish on your Internet Explorer 5.0 Browser Standard Georgian Font as "User Defdined";

11. For reading the text in the Georgian language you should start a "USER DEFINED" mode (It is extremely simple:

  • You should press the right key of mouse;

  • Enter it   "ENCODING";

  • Find there word "USER DEFINED" and press it;

  • WARNING: If you will not see a word "USER DEFINED", press a word "More" and the word "USER DEFINED" should appear in the bottom line on big list;

  • After that the text will appear in the Georgian

Remember: if you have put Georgian font as "User Defined", a case, if you do not see the text on the screen on Georgian, press the right key of mouse and choose "User Defined"

If you want to read a site on other language, except for Georgian and English (for example on Russian), it is not necessary to change your "USER DEFINED" mode. You should simply press right key of mouse and shoose "Cyrillic (Windows)" or "Cyrillic (KOI8-R)". In such case you can read on Russian. If after that you want to read on Georgian on the screen of "Georgian" page will be visible the Russian letters.
You should simply press
right key of mouse and shoose "USER DEFINED", and on the screen will appear the Georgian letters .
